Description: |
In
cooperation with a local clinic, the DPCP is designing
and implementing a curriculum and training program
for school nurses and ancillary personnel. To facilitate
the appropriate care of the student with diabetes,
school and day care personnel must have an understanding
of diabetes and must be trained in its management in
the school setting and in the treatment of diabetes
emergencies. The program was successfully piloted in
Santa Fe, and will be offered statewide. |
